How do I send payment?

Check or Money Order. Foreign payment must be made in United States funds (U.S. dollars). For your protection, please do not send cash, since this may be stolen and is untraceable. No C.O.D.  or credit cards.

We also accept payment by credit card through PayPal. We can now accept credit card payments through PayPal from many countries worldwide. For more information on this please go to PayPal.HTML.

Is there a guarantee for your books and tapes?

Yes, there is a 30 day, unconditional money back guarantee on the price of all books and tapes, if the merchandise is returned in the same condition it was shipped. The book or tape must be wrapped well to do this, but the choice of return shipment is yours. Please understand you do take a risk in using an untraceable method of shipment, although the risk is quite low. You do not even need to give us reason, although we welcome any and all information that could help us serve our customers in the future. Or return rate has been low at less than one percent.

Do you ship to my area?

We ship world wide, with the exception of countries that are under a current embargo by the United States government. It is our understanding that at this time, these include Cuba, Iran, Iraq, Lybia, and Haiti. Laws of the country the book is being shipped to must also be respected. Although we know of no problem for our cataloged books, there are some books that we may be able to find in our book search service that your own country may not permit us to ship you. We will notify any book search customer, if we discover such a problem. This means that if it is legal for us, we will ship to you. The rates will vary with the weight, size, and the country. We are not responsible for how long it may take to reach you by any particular means, since the various shipping organizations and customs agencies control this. General shipping rates are given on our Rate Scedule for shipment outside the United States. Our shipping and handling cost for our book search books will be indicated in our quote to you before you order.

Do I need to pay sales tax?

Only if you request delivery to a California address or pay using a check or Money Order drawn in California. The sales tax is on the cost of the items only -- not that pesky Shipping and Handling. The present rate for us is 7.75%. If purchased by a legal entity in the State of California for resale or not subject to California sales tax, the usual information must be supplied to us, for you to not pay the sales tax. Please let us know when you order. We will be happy to calculate the sales tax for any customer, if requested. On book search books, the sales tax will be given in our price quote to you.

Is my name and address (including e-mail address) sold or exchanged with other businesses for mass mailing ?

No! We do not sell or exchange mailing lists. Many of our customers have indicated clearly that they do NOT want their name, address, or any other information about them sold or exchanged.

Do you engage in mass e-mailings?

No. We have never mass e-mailed.

Are the books insured on shipment ?

Generally, no. We strongly recommend having any valuable or costly shipment insured. On your request, we will be happy to determine the methods and costs for insured shipment. There are some countries to which there is no insured shipment from the United States, but these are exceptions. Any book costing over US$ 100 should be send insured. Shipments under US$ 50 are a judgment call. The choice, as a customer, is always yours.
